My sister is getting married and last weekend I threw her a bridal shower in celebration of her upcoming day. The theme of the wedding is vintage-romantic, so I wanted to try and pull that theme through the shower too. The shower was held on Sunday afternoon, out on my back deck and together with 10 ladies we celebrated!
When you arrived to the house this cupcake banner & simple bridal shower signed welcomed you in.
I wanted the feel of the shower to pop up as soon as people entered, this was the welcome sign at the door.
I used tea-cups & teapots with hydrangeas to decorate. The teacups all belonged to my grandma and the doilies were crocheted by my other grandma.
The food table! I made the ‘chalk board’ from cardboard and flat black spray paint. Mason jars filled with hydrangeas decorated the deck railing.
Bon-bons for treats served in tea-cups.
Tulle pom-poms lining the overhang for some added decor.
I had some left over broadcloth so I used it to tie around the chairs.
Used scrabble tiles to make fun little saying for on the table – So In Love, Bride to Be, Future Mrs & Wedding.
And the wreath that I posted the DIY in the previous post.
It was a lovely day and my big sister was celebrated. We laughed and shared in many memories and now I am looking forward to the wedding day even more!!!
THANK-YOUS: Sharon, for letting me raid your hydrangea bush – the flowers were perfection! Photo-credit, Amy, Thank-you so much for coming and taking photos of our special afternoon!Pin It
